Kerzner, built South Africa’s iconic Sun City resort and Palace of the Lost City. The youngest child of Russian Jewish immigrants to South Africa, went on to work for one of the largest accountancy firms in Durban, becoming a junior partner by the age of 25. He left shortly afterwards to take over a small chain of hotels owned by his family and built it into one of the most successful hotel groups in South Africa.
In office since January 2014, the former Minister of Finance Finance and Budget was an accountant before standing for office. In 2015, the Parliament of Madagascar voted to remove the president from office, due to "alleged constitutional violations and general incompetence." The constitutional court disallowed the motion under the grounds the accusations were unfounded and thus inadmissible.
