From captivating deep green wooded forests, to the pounding waves crashing over jagged rocks and then the sheer cliffs littered with blooming protea. It truly is a magical place. As a landscape photographer I want to tell natures story; to ignite wanderlust, fuel passion, and encourage others to go out and explore. This was shot a few meters from basecamp 3 - aka Oakhurst Camp. It was full moon. Waves smashed against the cliffs like bomb blasts throwing sea spray high into the air. For about 30 minutes the late aftenoon light started to filter in between the sharp rock formations throwing these beautiful beams of light. For me it was one of those moments which just come together. A beautiful sight to see and alot of luck getting the right spray as it came through. Image by Jay Caboz. All rights reserved.
